Kimberley Hayes

According to her mother and grandmother, Kimberley has been moving since inception. "She began dancing and moving before she could walk and has yet to stop... she eats up the stage." - USDAN

At three years old, she began her first yoga classes with her mother. Kimberley's dance career began at the tender age of seven years old. After winning several talent shows, Kimberley's dance education expanded from The Dance Studio to Peridance, The Clark Center, Mark Morris Dance Center, USDAN Summer Intensives, The Joffrey Ballet School and LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts / Music & Art, among numerous others. Kimberley received a scholarship to attend The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre as a full time student. Immediately following, in 1998 she graduated from Brooklyn College, CUNY, and in 2002, she began her Pilates training. She trained through The Kane School of Core Integration and received her mat certification in 2003 . In 2003, she taught at the Broadway Dance Center, Djoniba Dance and Drum Centre, White Wave Dance Theatre and the YWCA. By early 2004, while training at the Kane School, Kimberley taught pilates mat and reformer classes at New York Sports Club for two years. During that time, she was the first pilates instructor for the Fort Greene Fitness/Crunch Fitness Club. Prior to opening her own studio, she was hired to teach apparatus private sessions for The LA/Reebok Sport Club and was invited to work as a personal trainer for Equinox. While teaching, training and developing her business, Kimberley received her advanced certification in the Pilates' Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair and High Barrel at The Kane School in 2006. On September 1, 2006, she launched the first pilates studio in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, NY.
